Hi everybody,

I just posted our THIRST performance on the world water day 2011 homepage - very exciting!
We are three dancers (Brigitte Krauß, Bettina Schneidewin, Kathrin Lampert) and we are presenting our dance performance in Cologne (Germany) at the Wachsfabrik on 20th March at 3pm.
Instead of performing next to a body of water (way too cold!) we decided to bring water to the stage - mainly in form of ice installations. The ice symbolizes glaciers that are the main fresh water reservoirs of the earth and that are melting at an alarming rate due to global warming.
Our performance is a mixture of dance and dance-theatre and includes projections as well as language. Movements and compositions were inspired by the chemical characteristics of water but also by our ambivalent relationship towards water which is vital and beautiful but can also be dangerous and/or annoying. We present a collection of humorous and serious scenes which will illustrate in how many forms and ways water influences us.

We are very excited to be part of the THIRST project!
