HUNGER & Hurt
(the Gifts of Earth)

"HUNGER & Hurt"

An outdoor choreographic and video collaboration exploring the effects of our actions on Nature and on each other. As long as we are willing to hurt each other, the World will be Hungry!

Some of the pieces were previewed in celebration of UN’s World Water Day on March 22. This year’s theme is “The World Is Thirsty Because We Are Hungry.”

First Annual Dance Theatre Performance in Support of World Water Day

Performances around the world will call attention to the present and future of clean water access.

In Austin, Diverse Space Dance Theatre will perform at The Umlauf Sculpture Garden (2:00 PM both days) and the Mexican American Cultural Center (6:30 PM Saturday).

This performance is part of a global initiative in support of UN World Water Day, and in promotion of awareness about water conservation and clean water access. The project includes simultaneous performances in over 20 locations around the world and will continue annually in March of 2012, 2013 and 2014; coordinated by Diverse Space Dance Theatre.
